He played Rugby for Newport.
He played Cricket well. He was a fast bowler with a fluid run up and an elegant delivery.
His Cricket captain once said 'Derek doesn't take as many wickets as he used to. But I just love to watch him bowl'.
He died before I could develop this sketch into an oil portrait. |
